Bolivar, a town full of nature
Bolivar is located in the north of Valle del Cauca, limiting at the west with the department of Chocó. Its lands are painted with an intense and relaxing green, the sky leaning over its summits and the rivers that bathe its people are a blessing and a gift from the nature.
“El puente de la marucha” is one of its most famous attractions, perfect for the ecotourists and the history lovers, because it was builded approximately a hundred years ago to shorten the journey of the “arrieros” (farmers) and its animals. Today, it is more than shortcut, it became a place to do trekking, flora and fauna watching and of course to swim in the fresh river.
Feeling the tranquility of the town is a unique sensation, beyond descriptions. This is a place where traffic lights or mass transport are not needed, only calm people who can live without the city excesses. What you really find here is nature, rivers and smiles.
"The Biennial is a trip to discover new worlds and also to be discovered and seduced by new movements, lenguages and imaginaries to think about dancing as a way to express our emotions" says Amparo Sinisterra de Carvajar, president of the 2nd Biennial.
This is the Pacific festival, in which the most importat thing is to highlight the gastronomy, the folk music and the traditions of this region in Valle del Cauca. It is an awesome experience for the locals and of course for the visitors who want to dive into this culture.
This is one of the most important and traditional festivals in Colombia. In which the favorite attractions are the "Salsódromo", the "Cali viejo" carnival, the antique cars parade, the "Melómanos" meeting, the "Superconcierto" a really nice musical show, between other shows ans events.
